ABOUT SCARBOROUGH STREETS
Join us for a two-day curated festival of outdoor events, street art, performances and workshops. Taking place on 10th and 11th October across several locations in the town centre, it features both professional acts and community groups, with special offers from local high street businesses.
Scarborough Streets is supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.

Created and performed by DC Next’s young artists, Postcards from Here turns Scarborough’s familiar postcard inside out. Through movement, music and storytelling, they share the town they know, the challenges they face and the future they imagine. And why not join one of free creative workshops to make your own living postcard?

Join our bubbly beauties as they take you for a spin through a washing cycle like no other. This cheeky show is perfect for families who enjoy live performance, character interaction, mime, physical theatre, mischief and laughter!

Take two potty cavemen and their beautifully themed crazy caveman car and mix it up with stone age music, sound effects and plenty of batty banter. Kids and grown-ups will especially love the prehistorical pet bird “Peep” who accompanies the nutty Neanderthals on their adventures.

Tim Moon is a prodigious multi instrumentalist, playing around one hundred instruments, a noted songwriter, singer, poet, actor and published author. As a musician he has played with an amazing array of performers, from Ken Dodd to Paul McCartneys brother Mike to folk luminaries such as Ashley Hutchings and Mike Heron. Experienced on all platforms he is equally at home on stage or Al fresco, festival or TV studio. Join him and his array of musical marvels.

Come along to meet and take pictures with our Autumnal mermaid in their water bowl. You can also try out aerial tasters on our giant octopus, and take a peek into Siren’s Mirror, where you can transform yourself into a stunning mer-person, try on mermaid tails and crowns. Something for everyone!

Good Rhythm Yorkshire creates interactive djembe drumming circles, bringing people together through shared rhythm, laughter and connection. We provide the drums and guide the group from the very first beat, so everyone can take part whether they have played before or not. What begins with a group of strangers soon becomes one rhythm created together.
